| Introduction |
This is an introductory computing course for beginners. It incorporates the British Computing Society (BCS) award 'EqualSkills' and provides an easy and enjoyable introduction to computers and the Internet. |
| Course Content |
EqualSkills is a fun, informal and uncomplicated introduction to Computers and the Internet. The course is certificated by the British Computer Society and suitable for beginners. You are issued with a workbook which you can work through yourself or with the help of a facilitator. The workbook consists of reference material to aid learning exercises. You can work through the book at your own pace and as you complete each section the facilitator will check your answers and ensure that you understand and are confident with the topic. On completion of all the sections the facilitator will sign off the workbook and you will be awarded your EqualSkills certificate. |
| Career Prospects |
This is a nationally recognised certificate provided to present to prospective/existing employers with regards to basic IT skills. It can also be used as foundation preparation for the European Computer Driving Licence (ECDL). |
